From this chaotic year emerged a concentration of grapes and a promise of structured and powerful wines, like in 1976, with the pleasant and suave approach of a 1989. In a difficult climate, on the most austere of soils, nature sometimes delivers a magnificent offering, a grandiose grape with a unique history. This is 2002. 2002 is one of the five best vintages of the last twenty years.

| Tasting | Fine malty notes associated with orchard fruits (white peach, nectarine and mirabelle plum), refined by the purity of the complex aromas of mandarin peel. The balance of a tension mastered by the blossoming of the wine (stone and seed fruits, citrus and warm madeleine) and symbolised by the conduct of noble resinous flavours (spruce and juniper). It will reveal the flavours of a beautiful roasted Bresse poultry or a delicious milk-fed veal rib. |
