Description
Pinot Noir is one of the pillars of the Bollinger style and the House has built its reputation on magnifying this variety. The PN cuvée is the result of research into the taste of Pinot Noir and its different origins in Champagne. It helps to continue this heritage and assert Bollinger’s legendary style – while reinventing itself each year. Each edition offers a new interpretation of Bollinger’s expertise and vineyards. The main vintage of this 2017 edition is Tauxières, associated with Avenay and Verzenay.

Tasting | On the nose, notes of dried flowers, to which are added aromas of tobacco and mocha. Licorice and dried fruits complete this evolved, discreet and complex nose. On the palate a very fruity and lively facet with notes of cooked apricot, peach, exotic fruits followed by flavours of acacia honey, fresh nuts and spices. A beautiful salinity completes the acidity of this wine. A finish of red fruits, crème de cassis and surprising notes of citrus peel. A lively, straightforward wine, very clean and in contrast with the nose. This is a wine to be shared between enthusiasts, in search of the different expressions of Pinot Noir or to accompany a tomme or a roasted quail. |
