Champagne DE SOUSA Cuvée 3 A Extra Brut Grand Cru
This champagne is made with the old vines of the domain planted in 1950 to enjoy a great maturity. 50% Chardonnay from Avize, 25% Pinot noir from Aÿ and 25% Pinot noir from Ambonnay, explains the generosity of the wine in addition to its name taken from the first letter of each village. Half of the wine is made in ovoid barrels, this cuvée is the ideal marriage between the finesse of the chardonnay and the generosity of the pinot noir.
50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir
The nose is elegant with beautiful notes of white fruits, pineapple, lemon and butter. The palate is generous with the blackcurrant and raspberry flavours typical of ripe Pinot Noir. The low dosage gives a delicate finish where the minerality of the Champagne chalk can be found. This gastronomic companion will gladly accompany Cantal and Abondance as well as poularde with morels.
