Description
Cuvée Grande Sendrée takes its name from a plot of land covered in ashes after the fire that ravaged Urville in 1836. A spelling error slipped in when copying the land register, and it is an “S” that now distinguishes this vintage. A reproduction of an 18th century bottle found in the Urville cellars, Grande Sendrée is stirred entirely by hand.

| Tasting | After 10 years of maturation, Grande Sendrée is ready to be enjoyed, and may also be appreciated in a few years' time. Pinot Noir dominates, with notes of Napoleon cherries. Chardonnay brings notes of white flowers and vanilla. The palate remains complex, taut thanks to the low dosage. Beautiful length, ending on the Kimmeridgian minerality, subtly spicy, the signature of this identifying cuvée. |
