Champagne EGLY-OURIET Blanc de Noirs Vieilles Vignes Extra Brut Grand Cru

The grapes come from an old Pinot Noir vineyard planted in 1946. This vineyard is planted on an exceptional terroir where the layer of soil barely reaches 30 cm and immediately follows the chalk which appears at a depth of several dozen metres, hence the name of the place called “Les Crayères”. The vines are therefore strongly rooted in this chalk which gives the wine both these notes of red fruit thanks to the maturity and concentration of these old pinots and a certain chalky minerality which gives the wine elegance. Vinification entirely in barrels and then left for over 6 years in the cellar where the wine will find its balance and perfect its complexity.
