Description
This wine comes from a single parcel planted in 1930 and surrounded by walls in the heart of the village of Damery. Its name comes from excavations carried out in 1840, which uncovered the remains of a Gallo-Roman coin workshop. Vinification and maturation in barrels, blocked malolactic fermentation and no fining to let the terroir express itself.

Tasting | The nose is fresh and complex with flowery, greedy notes (pastry) which evolve towards a discreet note of tea. The supple attack on the palate evolves into a fat, full-bodied wine. Aromas of butter and warm brioche mingle with fruity flavours such as pear. The finesse of the Chardonnay appears in the middle of the mouth and continues on a refreshing finish. Aperitif champagne, it will enhance your most refined fish dishes. |
