Description
Founded in 1808 by Apolline Henriot, the house is now one of the most prestigious in the Champagne region, thanks to its ancestral know-how and its unique expertise in promoting Chardonnay. This Blanc de Blancs is made mostly from the Premiers and Grands Crus of the Côte des Blancs, including the villages of Mesnil sur Oger and Avize. It also uses the precious reserve wines of the House, up to 40%. It is in the calm and darkness of the cellars of the House in Reims that the bottles of Blanc de Blancs remain for a period of 4 to 5 years before being delivered to you.

Tasting | The nose expresses a minerality and an insolent freshness, developing aromas of citrus fruits and sunny white peach, a bouquet of fresh flowers; honeysuckle, orange blossom and lime blossom. First fruity notes with lemon, dried apricot and then pastry with that characteristic touch of fresh butter. On the palate, the attack is dynamic, both full and powerful. The note of fresh lemon blends with notes of buttered brioche prolonged by quince paste and acacia honey. A beautiful length, fresh and greedy. It will be ideal as an aperitif or with an exceptional shellfish whose delicacy will be revealed alongside this mineral and complex champagne. |
