Description
This rare blanc de blancs parcel champagne comes from the Corne Bautray vineyard, a 1 hectare plot planted in 1960 in Dizy on a steep south-west facing slope composed of stony clay on hard limestone. 2012 was a cool and wet year but with a magnificent end to the season, making it one of the great vintages of the Champagne region. Vinified and aged in oak barrels on lees, unfiltered.

The palate is extraordinary, it is fresh, long, of a rare power and impressive precision. A vinous style, good depth, ripe but racy acids and a chalky aftertaste. An immense champagne. To be enjoyed as an aperitif or with lobster or sea urchins. |
