Description
Old vines from a single plot “Chemin des Conges” in Epernay and planted with Pinot Meunier, this wine was vinified for 2/3 in small barrels and for 1/3 in clay cement eggs. To perfect its balance, malolactic fermentation was not carried out in order to let the wine stand on its own and keep all its freshness and minerality. Through this cuvée a unique expression of pinot meunier; freshness and extreme aromatics

Tasting | The nose is atypical of a pinot meunier, rich, marked by notes of wax, hazelnut with a touch of apricot and fig. The whole is tense with a great freshness and minerality. The palate starts with a good minerality but as the wine warms up it quickly becomes fuller. A champagne with aromas of honey, quince and cashew nuts, whose deep finish with notes of ginger and spices will delight lovers of generous wines. A meunier that is truly surprising in its vinosity, its evolved aromas while keeping an extreme freshness that allows the wine to be easily digested. A champagne for the aperitif accompanied by toast with foie gras or fresh truffles, or at the table with game such as partridge with red cabbage. |
