Description
Imagine a chalky island, a separate terroir, perched 270m high: Montgueux. Here it is the Chardonnay that dominates: more than 90% of the village is covered with it, making Montgueux the most southern Chardonnay village in the Champagne region. This terroir is bathed in a microclimate that gives a recognisable style to the wines, which have a greedy, ripe, rich and elegant signature.

Tasting | A beautiful nose of very fine Chardonnay, buttery and brioche-like, combined with the characteristics of the terroir with notes of white fleshy fruits and jammy fruits. A fine and balanced palate, with notes of butter and brioche combined with fresh and ripe fruit. The palate gradually evolves towards vanilla, mocha, toast and marzipan. The finish is fresh and chalky and imposes itself by its length and salinity. To be enjoyed as an aperitif or to accompany fine and delicate fish. |
