They are tasted and evaluated while waiting to blossom into a second life. Krug Millésime then becomes Krug Collection and reveals a new personality. | Tasting | The nose reveals generous notes of plum pie, cinnamon, custard and gingerbread. On the palate, opulence and unctuousness are combined with incredible freshness, a real festival of flavours: aromas of spices, brioche, candied fruit, caramel, citrus and dried fruit are mixed with notes of apricot, grapefruit, orange marmalade and lemon pie, enhanced by lightly roasted nuts and a hint of fine liquid honey Its extraordinary length accentuates these sensations. Krug Collection 1990 can be enjoyed with morel risotto, duck with caramelised turnips or white pudding with truffles. For dessert, it goes superbly with orange and gingerbread tiramisu, baked apples sprinkled with roasted almonds or simply with a few slices of old Comté cheese. |
