Description
The locality of this cuvée is “Bourron du Levant” in Cramant. Levant meaning East, the plot benefits from the first rays of the sun in the morning. The 56 and 80+ year old vines have deep roots and the diversity of the old vines contribute to the complexity of the wine and produce particularly rich and powerful grapes. The wine is vinified and aged on the lees in oak barrels and benefits from an additional 7 to 8 years of cellar ageing to offer the taster incredible richness and complexity.

Tasting | An intense and deep nose with greedy notes of white flowers, white fruits, hazelnuts but especially butter and creamy pastry. A touch of iodine and chalky salinity completes the balance of this nose. Very good volume, richness, complexity and minerality on the palate. The wine is supple, creamy with a pleasant saline freshness and candied citrus aromas. Great length balanced with peppery flavours and the bitterness of citrus fruits like orange peel. This Champagne is best enjoyed on its own as an aperitif or with a poularde aux morilles. |
