Description
The most famous of the Roederer wines was created in 1876 to satisfy the demanding taste of Tsar Alexander II. The emperor asked Louis Roederer to reserve for him each year the best vintage of the House, which he particularly appreciated. To accentuate its uniqueness, this exceptional champagne will be packaged in a flat-bottomed crystal bottle. From then on, it will bear the name of this precious material, exalting its transparency and light. Made only in the “great years”, Cristal is aged for 6 years in the cellar. Remarkable for its balance, Cristal is a pure champagne with an unequalled length in the mouth. Its silky texture reveals fruit aromas supported by a mineral power from which notes of white fruits and citrus take flight.

Tasting | Intense, fragrant bouquet of great purity. Concentrated and candied citrus fruits mingle delicately with notes of harvest and lightly toasted almonds. The sensation of a beautiful and generous maturity of fruit, tempered by fresh and acidic bounces, delicate and energetic. Fruity mouthfeel and silky texture, amplified by a soft effervescence perfectly integrated and deliciously elegant. The purity and perfection of the ripe yellow fruit merges with the intense chalky freshness, typical of Cristal, both powdery and saline. Dense, juicy, concentrated and long on the palate, thanks to the seductive and spicy structure of the partial maturation in oak tuns. The finish builds to a crescendo, revealing a full texture of grain and velvet wrapped in a long, saline and sublimely elegant finish. |
