Description
Vertus, until the end of the 19th century, was mainly planted with Pinot Noir. Chardonnays have since conquered the hillsides. This selection of the best historical parcels of Vertus picked at full maturity, vinified in barrels and aged for a long time on the lees is a perfect photograph of the terroir and history of Vertus.

Tasting | The nose is very expressive with notes of butter, pastry and a surprising milky sensation. The mouth is very fat and flattering. We find these milky, buttery and pastry aromas but without heaviness and keeping a great finesse and a light freshness on the finish thanks to its low dosage. A simple aperitif champagne, easy to understand despite its complexity. Can be paired with cheeses such as Beaufort, Comté or Tomme de Chèvre. |
