Champagne Pierre PAILLARD La Grande Récolte 2012 Bouzy Grand Cru Extra Brut
5 in stock
The quintessence of the Pierre Paillard vineyard, La Grande Récolte 2012 is a blend of old Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines. The wine was aged on the lees for about 10 months, before being aged for almost 9 years in vats to develop certain aromas. The disgorging is late to preserve a certain freshness. The 2012 vintage displays both complexity and definition, a great year
45% Chardonnay, 55% Pinot Noir
On tasting, this champagne reveals notes of fresh brioche, white flowers, yellow fruits and a nice smokiness. On the palate, it is a fresh wine with a beautiful silkiness in the mouth. The finish is complex, long with a hint of iodine. It is a magnificent intensity with an extraordinary concentration. The champagne is vinous, and will accompany a good meal. Marry it with cheese gougères, quiche lorraine or sea bass in butter sauce.
