Description
Made exclusively from grapes grown in the Folies vineyard overlooking the Château de la Marquetterie, the birthplace of the Taittinger family in Champagne. In the selected plots, a “green” harvest is carried out, thus allowing to reach an optimal sugar content and maturity. At the end of the harvest, only the juice from the Cuvée (first press) is retained. Each parcel is vinified in small volumes and some batches in oak barrels. A slow maturation of 5 years in bottle completes the harmonisation of this wine

Tasting | The intense, very fruity nose develops aromas of peach and apricot compote enhanced by subtle notes of toasted brioche and vanilla. The attack in the mouth is ample, supple and fruity, releasing dominant flavours of yellow peach. The finish is pronounced and expressive, subtly marked by woody notes. A champagne of fullness and harmony, the "Folies de la Marquetterie" vintage is distinguished by its richness and complexity. This structured and powerful terroir wine, a tribute to the 18th century, is an ideal accompaniment to robust dishes such as roasted meats and fish in sauce. |
