Description
From the “Pierre de Bellevue” vineyard, which is over 70 years old in Oeuilly, Pinot Meunier blossoms wonderfully in the Marne valley on its excellent terroir. This wine, vinified in Burgundy barrels, without malolactic fermentation, neither filtered nor clarified, has been aged for almost 12 years in bottle and promises a generous and fleshy tasting.

Tasting | The nose is extremely fine, fresh and greedy, expressing pastry, praline and roasted nuts aromas, then taking us towards notes of apples and stewed pears. The palate is ample and greedy, we find the pastry aromas of the nose with nice flavours of warm brioche, ripe fruits (strawberry, cherry) and on the finish a touch of ripe bitters (orange peel). The finish is very long, fresh and elegant with flavours of almonds and nuts. A Champagne to be enjoyed as an aperitif to take full advantage of its aromatic complexity or to accompany a fine fish or white meat with citrus fruits. |
