Description
Perpetuity is derived from a “perpetual reserve”. A barrel that receives a proportion of new wine each year to refresh the blend of previous vintages. This solera contains 13 wines, from 2002 to 2018. Here, the insolence of the young wine converses with the wisdom of the old, like cellmates for whom time is no longer counted. The imprint of perpetuity is comparable to a photo taken with a shutter open for a long time: it prints several temporalities, that of the hundred-year-old oak tuns of the Tronçais forest, and that of the multiple wines, some of which have been imprisoned for nearly 20 years. Still 100% pinot noir vinified as white, it is the descendant of the 17th century vins gris. A new taste.

Tasting | This Perpetuity vintage has a brilliant golden colour. The nose reveals floral notes (lily of the valley, lilac) but also a nice toasted side due to the old wines. The first taste is fresh and lively then evolves into a rich roundness. The finish is focused on a sweet bitterness and carried by a nice minerality. Perfect with hard cheeses or goat and sheep cheeses. |
