Description
Only the best old pinot noirvines, steep, stony and well oriented, are able to produce grapes rich enough in sugar to be vinified into rosé-des-riceys. Its ultra-delicate vinification consists of letting the juice and the berries macerate together for 3 to 6 days. The musts are monitored day and night during fermentation until the magic happens… In just one hour, it is possible to produce a Rosé des Riceys, if the grapes are pressed too early, the wine will not be fruity enough, if pressed too late, it will be too red. A rare wine because it is produced by only 25 winegrowers, discover this incredible nectar.

Tasting | This wine has a clear and intense ruby red colour with brick highlights. The nose of this wine is fine and fresh. It has very fruity characteristics and one can easily recognise the aromas of black cherries and blackberries. The complexity of this nose is brought out by subtle hints of liquorice. Once in the mouth, this wine has a beautiful structure brought by melted and coated tannins which support the fruit of this wine. We then find flavours of cherry and blackcurrant. This very typical Rosé des Riceys wine is both elegant and full of character. A powerful and rich rosé to be reserved for fine grilled meats such as a rib of beef. |
