Description
The 2013 wine year is finally returning to the glorious past of late vintages. After a cold and wet winter and a dull, very cool and particularly well-watered spring, the vines began to grow a fortnight later than the ten-year average, a delay which they maintained until the harvest. A hot and dry summer, the most sunshine ever recorded in Champagne, was particularly beneficial for the quality of the grapes.

Tasting | The nose is delicate and reveals itself in coloured touches. The green of eucalyptus, mint and vetiver. The orange yellow of the mirabelle plum, apricot and orange flower. The brown of the pepper, cardamom and liquorice stick. The silver of iodine and roasted. The palate is elegant, simple and precise. The attack is enveloping and airy. The wine's fine, silky texture is amplified. The saline sensation carries the finish and reveals a deep coherence. |
