Description
The House considers that each Krug Millésime expresses the unique character of a particular year. A Krug Millésime brings together the most expressive wines from the same year, enhanced by more than ten years of cellar ageing. Each Krug Millésime is different: it is the Music of the Year, transposed into the Krug universe. The House of Krug has given the nickname “Gourmandise Capricieuse” to Krug 2006, a gourmet tale of roundness and elegance.

Tasting | On the nose, we perceive very expressive and greedy aromas of yellow fruit, dried fruit, roasted almonds, hazelnuts, maple syrup, meringue and mandarin liqueur. It seduces the palate with its generosity, depth, freshness, aromatic persistence and long finish. Notes of nougat, frangipane, viennoiserie, tarte Tatin and plenty of citrus fruits accompany a beautiful finish of pink grapefruit peel. Krug 2006 goes wonderfully well with all types of cuisine, especially the most aromatic. It enhances dishes with character, such as tajines with preserved lemon, ratatouille, seven o'clock leg of lamb, vegetable tian, game, foie gras, the tastiest fish or duck breast grilled on vine shoots. |
