Description
The most famous of the Roederer wines was created in 1876 to satisfy the demanding taste of Tsar Alexander II. The emperor asked Louis Roederer to reserve for him each year the best vintage of the House, which he particularly appreciated. To accentuate its uniqueness, this exceptional champagne will be packaged in a flat-bottomed crystal bottle. From then on, it will bear the name of this precious material, exalting its transparency and light. Made only in the “great years”, Cristal is aged for 6 years in the cellar. Remarkable for its balance, Cristal is a pure champagne with an unequalled length in the mouth. Its silky texture reveals fruit aromas supported by a mineral power from which notes of white fruits and citrus take flight.

Tasting | Rich and complex bouquet revealing aromas of acidulous and candied fruits (lemon), zesty notes, where pollen (white flower), grilled hazelnut and Madagascar vanilla mingle. On aeration, the bouquet is enriched by the sweet notes of pastry and smoke from the maturation in bottle. Tasty palate, both concentrated and chalky. The incredible tension and aromatic precision is perfectly chiselled. The attack is powerful, racy and concentrated, revealing the silky, enveloping texture typical of the ripe matter of the 2012 Pinot Noirs. |
