Description
In 1974, one hundred years after the creation of Cristal, Jean-Claude Rouzaud created the Cristal Rosé cuvée by selecting old Pinot Noir vines located on the best terroirs of the Grand Cru d’Aÿ, now cultivated biodynamically. Cristal Rosé is made using the bleeding method after cold maceration. It benefits from an average of 6 years of maturation in cellars. Drawing an exquisite minerality from the unique limestone soil of this terroir, these grapes have the particularity of reaching, in great years, an extraordinary maturity associated with a crystalline acidity.

Tasting | Refined bouquet of freshly picked tart red fruits (wild strawberry, raspberry) and lemon flower petals. The fragrances intermingle delicately, pure and precise, gradually enriching with nuances of fresh almonds, bread and spices (cocoa bean). We are beyond the bouquet so much these nuances have an ethereal and fusional tone. Intense, velvety and bewitching mouth. It is obvious after such perfumes. The juicy and concentrated red fruit progressively draws towards raspberry liqueur backed by invigorating sweet citrus. The harmony and delicacy are reinforced by the creamy effervescence that gives a concentrated and spherical sensation. The mineral freshness comes then to stretch this matter which becomes vertical, calcareous, saline and sapid… infinite sensation of acceleration by the luminous and pure limestones. |
