Description
The Prélude cuvée is made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes that Taittinger has selected exclusively from the “Grands Crus” vineyards, which are 100% classified on the Champagne wine scale. Made from Cuvée wines (first press only), this rare blend provides the finesse and structure necessary for a great champagne to last a long time. On the palate, it offers the ideal harmony between the melting minerality of the Chardonnay and the powerful aromatic expression of the Pinot Noir. Aged for more than 5 years in the cellar, the Prélude cuvée stands out for its remarkable youth and richness of flavour.

Tasting | The nose is fine and fresh. The first aromas are mineral and quickly become vegetal, then floral with scents of elderflowers mixed with spicy touches of cinnamon. The attack in the mouth is lively and frank, dominated by very fresh citrus notes. Then it becomes much fuller, round and silky, accompanied by flavours of white peach in syrup. The finish is long, rich and explosive. Prélude is a wine that combines finesse and complexity. Its balance between freshness and aromatic expression is exceptional. The Prélude cuvée can be enjoyed as an aperitif and goes wonderfully with great seafood dishes. |
