Description

Veuve Clicquot’s presence among the Grand Cru terroirs dates back to 1760. Madame Clicquot knew that she needed the best vines if she was to produce the best champagne. Relying on her extraordinary intuition, she identified a few plots that turned out to be among the best in the region. It acquired prestigious plots of land, such as Verzenay, Verzy and Bouzy, all of which are now classified as Grand Cru and used in the composition of La Grande Dame. Grande Dame Rosé is made from 13% red Pinot Noir from Clos Colin in Bouzy, one of Veuve Clicquot’s historic vineyards.
