Tasting | The nose is fresh and fruity, with initial citrus aromas (lime, grapefruit) typical of Chardonnay, followed by red fruit aromas (redcurrant, raspberry, Morello cherry), revealing the strong presence of Pinot Noir. Smoother, even exotic Pinot Meunier fruit after a few minutes of airing. The palate has a lively attack thanks to the low dosage which respects the authenticity of the wine. Chalky minerality. First flavours of citrus fruits, almonds, toast… but also redcurrant jelly and black fruits like cherry, fig or blackberry. Gourmet fullness and good length. Net final. These fruity aromas and flavours describe this wine in the first years after disgorgement. Suitably stored in a cool cellar, sheltered from the light, it will evolve towards more floral aromas, then spicy, towards toasted bread and candied fruit over the years, even decades. |
