1983 brought an abundant harvest to the Champagne region, despite a very wet winter and an appalling spring. Summer gives an extremely green vineyard and magnificent ripening of the grapes. The Pinots offer remarkable aromatic power, while the Chardonnays are characterized by surprising finesse and roundness. The wines are of a very high standard and can be kept for a long time.

| Tasting | The first nose opens with mineral (chalk, flint) and citrus notes. On aeration, notes of hazelnut, pistachio, roasting and spices (white pepper, cinnamon) appear. The attack on the palate is frank and surprisingly lively: this eternal youth is carried by fresh, candied citrus fruit, then supported by smoky, saline notes on the finish. The finish is remarkably silky and creamy.e. Pair with scallop carpaccio, skate with beurre blanc and capers, or mature ewe's milk tomme. |
