Description
This pure parcel-based Chardonnay cuvée “Les Grandes lignes” comes from a 42-acre parcel with southern exposure in the commune of Buxieres sur Arce. It lies at an altitude of 234 metres, on clay-limestone soil and Portlandian subsoil. The wine is vinified and aged in 600-liter demi-muids for 10 months. After bottling, the bottles spend 15 months in the cellars to develop their aromatic palette. It’s a wine that develops incredible finesse with a very marked touch of terroir.

Tasting | The nose is extremely fine and complex, with aromas of fresh fruit such as crisp green apple and juicy pear. The nose then reveals accents of toast and hazelnut, a vegetal aspect, and citrus notes such as lemon, creating a subtle balance between freshness and roundness. Yellow and white fruit flavors unfold elegantly on the palate, with aromas of white peach, mirabelle plum, apricot and zesty citrus. The chalky, iodized minerality is subtly added, creating a beautiful ensemble and depth to the wine. The finish has a silky texture that gently envelops the palate, leaving an impression of delicacy. It makes an excellent aperitif wine, but also pairs perfectly with seafood or grilled fish. |
