Given the acidity of the 1996 harvest, it took a certain audacity not to carry out malolactic fermentation… Yet this is what still gives this remarkable and rare cuvée its freshness (only a few hundred bottles exist!). Intensity, finesse and richness of fruit are shared in this anthological vintage. One of the greatest vintages of the last century.

| Tasting | Its rich personality is supported by a rare aromatic palette. On the nose, we quickly perceive almond and hazelnut, then fruit, with red plum and mirabelle plum, finishing with the gourmet color of brioche. We'll appreciate its toasty nose. On the palate, a fresh, invigorating attack, followed by pure autumnal fruit confidences where the mirabelle plum sings. A finish with pineapple notes and a hint of English candy. A wine of perfect architecture and great harmony. This champagne has plenty left in the tank, and can age for another 25 years! |
