Description
The name Risleus comes from the name of the village Rilly la Montagne named Risleius around the year 850. After a selection of old vines between 25 and 45 years old, the wines are aged and vinified in oak barrels for 9 months. Without malolactic fermentation it will remain in the cellar for about 13 years before becoming the great Champagne that it is.

Tasting | A very mature first nose with notes of stewed fruit and dried flowers. There is a beautiful freshness and minerality on the nose combined with increasingly tertiary aromas (gingerbread, honey, undergrowth, nuts…). The palate is very powerful and round with initial aromas of cooked peach, floral notes and then more candied aromas of fruit, honey, spices and almond. The well-mastered wood brings a touch of vanilla. For a nice aperitif or with fatty fish like salmon, smoked salmon or sea bass. |
