Description
Three plots of land located at the following locations de La Fosse, Némery and Champ Caïn, planted between 1962 and 1983 and facing south-east in Avize Grand Cru . 1995 was arguably the best Avize Grand Cru produced by Jacquesson up to that point, the decision was taken to keep a small number of bottles for extended ageing in preparation for a late disgorgement. Stopped with a cork stopper held in place by a staple, to enhance the wine’s long-term aromatic potential. The interest of a late disgorgement applied to wines aged nearly 15 years is remarkable: the prolongation of the maturation phase on the lees before disgorgement brings out tertiary aromas which combine harmoniously with the freshness preserved thanks to ageing in a low-oxidation environment.

Tasting | A very intense nose, ripe like a great Burgundy. Aromas of toast, coffee, dried fruit, vanilla and honey. The palate is equally stunning with a superb balance between a slight freshness and the gourmet aromas of coffee, toast, dried fruit and honey. Champagne to be enjoyed peacefully. |
