Description
Lieu-dit: “Les Maillerettes”, a 50-year-old Pinot Noir vineyard in the heart of Bouzy’s Grand Cru vineyard, produced by massal selection. These Pinot Noirs offer a chiselled, intense and precise cuvée from one of the Paillard family’s historic plots. The Maillerettes were aged in barrels, corked for the foam, and spent 4 years on the lees before disgorging.

Tasting | The first nose offers delicate notes of white flowers, followed by fruitier aromas. Its dense, harmonious bouquet reveals superb fruit around grape, strawberry, cherry and plum. Brioche aromas and hints of licorice complete the beautiful aromatic palette. On the palate, this is an intense, precise, fruity cuvée with a long, persistent finish that ends on citrus notes and a touch of iodine and salt.. Greedy, vinous and racy. A high-flying cuvée that's equally at home as an aperitif or at the start of a meal. It really comes into its own when served with foie gras, lobster, sole or sweetbreads. |
